Moana 2: Live Action

The trailer for Moana 2: The Legend of Te Fiti begins with a breathtaking shot of the Pacific Ocean, waves shimmering under the moonlight. The scene transitions to Moana (played by a live-action actress resembling Auliʻi Cravalho) standing on the shores of Motunui. Her voiceover begins, “The ocean chose me once, but its call has returned, stronger than ever.”

A sudden storm brews, with lightning illuminating the towering figure of a mysterious, shadowy entity emerging from the sea. Moana’s village faces strange phenomena: crops withering, the ocean turning turbulent, and glowing symbols appearing on the cliffs near their island. The village elders whisper of a forgotten prophecy tied to the goddess Te Fiti.

Cut to Moana seeking guidance from Maui (played by Dwayne Johnson in live-action), now living as a semi-retired demigod enjoying island life. “Another world-ending disaster?” he quips. “Why does it always have to be me?” Reluctantly, he joins Moana on her new quest, teasing her about her leadership and newfound confidence.

The trailer then showcases stunning visuals of the duo’s adventure: navigating treacherous waters, battling sea monsters, and exploring ancient underwater ruins where Moana discovers an artifact—a shard of Te Fiti’s heart, said to control creation and destruction.

As Moana dives deeper into her journey, she encounters Taiala, a rival voyager who seeks the shard for personal power, leading to intense clashes on land and sea. Meanwhile, Maui confronts his own fears as the shadowy figure, revealed to be a corrupted spirit of Te Kā, resurfaces, threatening both gods and mortals.

The trailer crescendos with an epic battle against the forces of destruction. Moana, empowered by her connection to the ocean and ancestors, faces Taiala and the corrupted Te Kā, determined to restore balance once more. The final scene shows Moana standing triumphantly on her canoe, her face illuminated by the rising sun as she declares, “We are the stories we tell, and I will write a new chapter.”
