Alien: Romulus (2024) | Official Trailer

The Alien: Romulus (2024) official trailer begins with eerie silence, slowly building tension as a group of explorers venture into a desolate, unknown planet. Set years after the events of Alien: Covenant, this film introduces a new crew of explorers sent to investigate the mysterious planet Romulus. The haunting shots of barren landscapes, abandoned alien structures, and dark caves set a chilling tone right from the start.

A voiceover from the lead scientist, played by Florence Pugh, narrates: “We’ve found something… something that shouldn’t exist.” The trailer quickly reveals that this crew has stumbled upon an ancient alien ruin, housing something far more terrifying than they could have imagined: an evolved species of Xenomorph, more deadly and intelligent than ever before.

The trailer flashes to chaotic scenes of the crew being hunted one by one by the lethal aliens. The new Xenomorph design is teased through brief, spine-chilling glimpses: faster, sleeker, and showing signs of cunning intelligence. In one sequence, a lone Xenomorph can be seen blending into its environment, stalking its prey before pouncing in a blur of teeth and claws.

Meanwhile, the human crew, led by Pugh’s character, struggles to understand the Xenomorphs’ true purpose on Romulus. They discover that the aliens were genetically engineered by an ancient alien civilization, one that once ruled Romulus before mysteriously disappearing. There are moments of high tension as the crew must navigate the labyrinthine alien structures while fending off the creatures in claustrophobic corridors and dark tunnels.

As the trailer nears its climax, we see a scene of mass devastation as multiple Xenomorphs overrun the crew’s ship, leaving no escape. The final shot is a close-up of Florence Pugh’s horrified expression as she comes face to face with the new queen Xenomorph, a towering, grotesque version of the classic alien.

The trailer ends abruptly, leaving viewers with a chilling final line: “They were here before us… and they’ll be here long after we’re gone.”
