Highlander (2025) – Teaser Trailer | Henry Cavill, Dave Bautista

The Highlander (2025) teaser trailer opens with sweeping shots of ancient Scotland, where Henry Cavill’s character, Connor MacLeod, stands on a mist-covered battlefield, sword in hand. His voiceover sets the tone, “In the end, there can be only one,” as the camera zooms in on a scarred yet timeless face, revealing his centuries-long existence. Quick flashes introduce his origin as a Highland warrior who discovers his immortality after a deadly battle.

As the trailer unfolds, Connor narrates his journey through the ages, moving from medieval castles to modern cityscapes. We see glimpses of him in different eras, fighting other immortals across time. The most chilling moment comes when the camera reveals Dave Bautista’s character, The Kurgan—Connor’s greatest rival, also an immortal. Bautista’s imposing figure dominates the screen, standing in the shadows of a dimly lit New York alley, as he cryptically whispers, “I’ve waited centuries for this moment.”

A series of intense sword fights between Connor and various immortals are quickly shown, each battle more brutal than the last, with sparks flying as swords clash. One of the key moments reveals Connor being tutored by his mentor, Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez, played by a mysterious new actor, teaching him the ancient laws of immortals. “There is no escape from destiny,” Ramírez warns, as we see Connor reluctantly taking on the burden of the immortal battle known as The Game.

The tone shifts darker as The Kurgan, now in the modern world, hunts down immortals, his sinister presence growing with each kill. His goal is clear: to gain the ultimate prize by eliminating the last of his kind. Connor, weary from centuries of conflict, knows the final battle with The Kurgan is inevitable.

The trailer crescendos with a showdown atop a skyscraper in a storm, lightning flashing as swords clash in a fierce battle. The teaser ends with a voiceover from Connor: “There can be only one,” followed by a shot of him standing victorious—but visibly haunted—over the fallen body of an immortal.
