The trailer for GROWN UPS 3 opens with Lenny (Adam Sandler), Eric (Kevin James), Kurt (Chris Rock), Marcus (David Spade), and Rob (Rob Schneider) reuniting in their hometown for one last hurrah: their kids are finally all graduating from high school, and they’re throwing an epic bash to celebrate. As they reconnect, they reminisce about their own youth and decide they’re not quite ready to give up their title as “the cool guys”—leading them on a hilariously chaotic journey to prove they still have it.
In typical Grown Ups fashion, things start to go sideways immediately. Lenny suggests taking their kids on a camping trip like they did as teens, thinking it’ll be a chance to show off their “outdoor skills.” However, it quickly becomes clear they’re rusty. There’s a scene where they fail miserably at setting up tents, ending in a slapstick mess of tangled ropes and collapsed shelters.
Each character faces his own humorous struggle with aging: Lenny fights off dad jokes to impress his teens, Eric deals with an escalating series of minor injuries after he insists on “playing like the kids,” Kurt gets in over his head trying to show off on a skateboard, Marcus finds himself inadvertently camping alongside an ex he’s trying to avoid, and Rob decides he’s now vegan, which leads to a hilarious fishing debacle.
The trailer crescendos with the dads attempting a night out with their kids at a nearby lake party, trying (and failing) to keep up with the younger crowd. After multiple mishaps—like losing the van keys in the lake and an impromptu cannonball contest gone wrong—they finally end up stranded and walking back to camp in the early morning light.
The teaser closes with a heartfelt campfire scene, where the group reflects on growing up, aging, and family. The feel-good moment is quickly undercut by a final gag when a raccoon invades their campsite, sending everyone scrambling.
